"Kingdom" Comes By ETWire Editor

If you wanted a party anthem to play in your car on the way to the club (i.e. "Big Pimpin"), you may be disappointed with Jay-Z’s latest effort, "Kingdom Come." Southern radio could find a favorite in "NYThing," featuring R&B star Usher; otherwise, Hova has chosen to highlight his maturity and address a few things in his recent effort.

In the title track, “Kingdom Come,” he distinguishes the difference between the reckless extravagance of his 20’s and the sophisticated taste of his 30’s. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a hip-hop album, if it didn’t have a diss or two for his competitors, such as the telling "Dig A Hole." Perhaps most surprising is that Jay appears to offer a sneak peak into his relationship with singer Beyoncé and others in “Lost Ones.” Overall, the “Kingdom” could be a good collector’s item for diehard Hov fans but it probably won’t break any creative or chart records.
