Yayyyy! Comedian Monique won an Academy Award. I am so happy about that. I don’t quite know how I feel about her acceptance speech though. I would love for someone to do a sit down interview her and find out what her beef is because it’s obvious she has one. I know Hollywood can be hard and she’s been in the game for awhile but she won an Oscar. She can be mad tomorrow.

What do you think of Monique’s Oscar win?

First, let me apologize for my inexcusable absence. I know that I’ve been MIA for the past couple of weeks but moving is a pain. That’s right; I said no excuses. Anyway, I am watching the Oscars, which is unusual because over the last 4-5 years, it’s been one of the most boring award shows ever. But tonight, it hasn’t been half bad.

Do you think this year’s Oscar ceremony is better?

In Super Bowl news, former NFL player (and Dancing with the Stars contestant) Warren Sapp has been arrested in Miami. He’s charged with a misdemeanor for domestic battery. As a result, he was removed from the day’s Super Bowl coverage. Besides being a pedophile, I think domestic battery is one of the worst accusations ever. I hope it was just a misunderstanding because it’s hard for any man to recover from being branded as a woman beater. Just ask Chris Brown.

What do you think of the charges against Warren Sapp?

Actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are responding to claims that they were responsible for their film, The Human Contract, going straight to DVD. The man who financed the film is threatening to sue the power couple claiming that they promised a return on his investment. Unless there was specifically something in the contract that guaranteed him a profit, I don’t think he has much of a case. Whenever you invest in something, there is a risk and I think he just took a risk and (unfortunately) it didn’t pay off.

Do you think this investor has a case against Will and Jada?

So, you may know by now that star of the movie Precious, Gabourey Sidibe, is nominated for an Oscar as Best Actress. Recently, she told a Canadian talk show host that she would love to go to the Oscars with singer Justin Timberlake. www.thefrisky.com started a campaign for people to tweet #justinescortgabby on Twitter to spread the word about her wish and see what happens. Aww! I think it’s cute that she has a dream Oscar date and I also think it’s cute that they want to help her get it. With that said, I hope she has another choice.
