Singer Faith Evans was arrested Saturday night under suspicion of driving drunk. According to Radaronline.com, her car was impounded and she was held for four hours. Well, I hope this is just an awful misunderstanding but if it isn’t, it may be a good idea to avoid driving after she’s had a few drinks. Just to be on the safe side. On a side note, Faith has a song on the radio and is supposed to be working on a new reality show.

Do you plan to watch Faith Evans’ reality show?

Producer Wyclef Jean has learned that he will not be running for presidency. His bid was turned down this week after the Haiti board of elections reviewed it. Some suggest that his rejection had something to do with the fact that he has not lived in Haiti a consecutive five years.

This may not be a bad thing. I mean, I’m sure Jean thought he was doing a noble thing but I don’t know how effective he would have been as a president of any nation. It takes more than passion for a country to run the country, especially one as impoverished as Haiti.

Do you think Wyclef Jean would have made a good president?

Occasionally, this argument rears its ugly head and it’s coming up again. Actor Anthony Mackie recently talked about how Hollywood is not investing their energy and money into developing young actors. Instead, they are turning to rappers.

Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with rappers/singers transitioning into acting, as long as they take it seriously. Acting is an artform, just like rapping and singing. It has to be respected. Besides, there are some rappers that have done an excellent job in the acting world. Will Smith, Ice Cube and Queen Latifah come to mind.

Do you like seeing rappers take on acting?

Producer Swiss Beatz’s ex-wife Mashonda says that she’s looking forward to establishing unity between her child and the rest of Beatz’s children. The couple recently divorced. Beatz is now married to singer Alicia Keys and is expecting his first child with the singer. He has a son from a previous relationship and another child that he created with a woman overseas-while married to Mashonda.

I hope that she really does mean this. I know it’s been hard for her, since she’s been very vocal about her issues with Keys and the whole situation. I think she should mostly take some time out and heal from this experience. She had a lot of anguish about the end of her marriage and that has to be addressed on her end.

Do you think it’s a good idea for the Beatz’s baby mothers to get the children together?

Why is actress Lindsay Lohan still in the media? Okay, so she messed up again. She’ll probably mess up again after that. It seems like the more attention they give her, the more she messes up. Recently, her mother was on the Today show and was flustered by all of Matt Lauer’s probing questions. I think she should have been prepared for them. You can’t have a famous daughter in and out of rehab, crashing cars and spending time in prison without having to address something.
